New Orleans Mojito
New Orleans is hot! But, because of this extremely hot weather, Mulate’s Cajun Restaurant has a wonderful solution….The New Orleans Mojito. This drink is the perfect summer drink for this town because it is refreshing. As with any drink, we have our own special recipe that involves special ingredients that makes it spectacular. - 2 lime wedges
- Half handful mint
- Simple syrup
- 1 shot Cruzan Key Lime Rum
- Splash (1 count) sweet & sour mix
- Club soda
Place lime wedges and mint in a tall glass. Put just enough simple syrup to cover, and muddle. Add rum and sweet & sour mix, stir and add ice. Fill glass with club soda and serve with a sprig of mint and another lime wedge on the rim!
Simple syrup Ingredients:
- 1 cup white sugar
- 1 cup water
In a medium saucepan, combine sugar and water. Bring to a boil, stirring, just until sugar has dissolved. Remove from heat and let cool.
