Cajun Cobb Salad

Salads do not have to be boring with the same textures and flavors. Mulate’s puts a Cajun spin on this classic all-time favorite salad with the Cajun Cobb Salad. This salad creation is decided with a little spice. Spicy and salty andouille, which is a type of sausage filled with flavor, is added to the Cajun Cobb Salad instead of the classic bacon. This salad is topped with the perfect spicy blue cheese dressing.

  • 1 cup Andouille sausage, thinly sliced into triangles

  • 1 lb. 21/25 count shrimp, peeled and deveined

  • 1 tbsp. Mulate’s Cajun Seasoning

  • 1 tbsp. Mulate’s Cajun Seasoning

  • 4 cups romaine or butter lettuce, sliced

  • 20 grape tomatoes, sliced in half

  • 2 avocados, chunked

  • 4 boiled eggs, sliced into wedges

  • 1 can fried onions

In a large skillet, over medium heat cook Andouille for 8-10 minutes to brown. Remove from skillet and set aside. Season shrimp with Mulate’s Cajun Seasoning. Heat olive oil in a skillet then add shrimp. Cook shrimp for 3 minutes on each side, or until pink and cooked through. Remove from skillet and set aside.

Place lettuce in a large serving bowl. On top of the lettuce arrange the tomatoes in a row down the middle of the bowl. In rows on either side of the tomatoes place the avocado, shrimp, egg, and Andouille. Top with crispy fried onions. Serve with spicy Blue Cheese Dressing in the side.
